We have been extremely busy with many new and exciting changes since June last year.
1. We are now open in 4 locations!!
2. We now have 5 teachers on our English staff! Have you met them?
Richard is from Ireland and has lived in Japan for many years and is father of two small children. He teaches a variety of classes at Nakajima Koen, Atsubetsu and Sakaemachi.
Derek is from Australia and has lived in Japan for many years and is father of two children. He takes care of our Friday afternoon classes in Nakajima Koen.
Karli is from Hawaii and has lived in Japan for 5 years. She is a great hula dancer as well as teacher for our adult groups at the Odori classroom.
Ismael is from Chicago and has been taking care of our off-site children’s classes for the past two years.
Ana is new to Sapporo and has been helping out with our Sakaemachi classes.
3. Children’s lessons in Nakajima Koen
Since September last year we have opened classes for 2 years old and up in Nakajima Koen. We currently have 4 classes there for children.
4. Free-talk conversation sessions on Saturdays from 4 pm to 5:30 pm
Some of our students requested an open format discussion lesson to brush up their conversation skills. Since June last year we have a regular session on Saturdays in our Nakajima Koen school for this purpose. No homework, no preparation, just talk! You can reserve viawww.dcwinjapan.com/reservation.html
5. Reservation and scheduling page
Due to an increase in private lessons, we opened an online reservation page where it is possible to search and reserve classes at your convenience. Check it out atwww.dcwinjapan.com/reservation.html
If the time of your preference is not available, please email us and we can add the time for you.
6. Spring campaign
This week we are launching our Spring Campaign across all schools. Take a look at the flyer and share it with your friends.
7. Staying in touch
To keep up to date with the changes at our schools and to receive our one-point lessons why not follow us on Facebook. Go towww.facebook.com/raitogogaku and click “LIKE” or “いいね” to be kept in the loop.
One point lesson
Spread the word
We use this phrase when we want to ask out friends and acquaintances to tell others about something exciting or new.
For example: We have a campaign running at the moment offering our morning business English course at a great rate for the first month, we would like to ask you to spread the word by sending the link below to your friends and acquaintances. Classes start at 8:00 am, however, for groups of three or more we can adjust the time, content and location for your convenience.
New Lesson Starting - June 1!
As per request we are launching a regular Saturday "conversation only" class, similar to our Freetalk sessions held over the past 6 months.
There are 3 available Saturdays next month so I have reserved the following times in June for the Saturday afternoon 90 minute conversation session.
June 1 4:00pm - 5:30pm
June 8 4:00pm - 5:30pm
June 22 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Some of you may not be able to attend every time so I have decided it is possible to subscribe in two patterns:
1. Pay as you go - 2,000 yen each time (payable at the lesson)
2. Monthly subscription (for June) - 4,500 yen (payable at the beginning of the month)
The main points of the session:
1. Lot's of talking
2. Relaxed atmosphere
3. 90 minutes duration
4. No preparation, no homework
5. Just come, bring a friend and have fun!

New!! English Book Club
I have a pile of English books gathering dust in my bookshelf at home and although I never read them they are too good to throw out. So I have decided to open an English Book Club in our Nakajima Park (Sun English) classroom.
How does it work?
I will open a new page on this web-site where you can browse the books that we have available and if you would like to reserve one please send us a message from the Book Club page (coming soon).
Does it cost anything?
The book club is free for current students and sponsors. For other members wishing to borrow books there is a membership fee of 2000 yen, renewable each year.
How long can I borrow a book for?
Books may be borrowed for up to 2 weeks each time and extended if there are no requests for it at the end of the loan period.
What is a sponsor?
Anyone who donates their books, magazines, DVD sets or book cases to our club is able to borrow other books under normal conditions at no cost. We hope that all members will sponsor so that we can all share in a "free" book club.
When will it start?
The book club will be open from the 15th of May 2013. Stay posted for more updates.
